Workshop for accessibility!
How can digital solutions be used to transform Almedalen into a more accessible meeting space, facilitate remote participation, sharing of ideas and discussions and connect people and resources more effectively? How can we remove the obstacles in order for everyone to participate on equal terms in the public and political discussions?
Join our OpenInn workshop for more accessible meeting spaces through digitalization, August 23 at Openlab!
In July, Openlab was at Almedalsveckan in Visby participating in an exciting workshop organized by HejDigitalt and PTS under the theme of accessibility; How to make Almedalen and similar meeting places more accessible through digital solutions. The ideas developed by the teams were shared on www.developyourcity.com, Openlab’s digital platform for ideas and societal innovation, for others to get inspired by and build upon.
Now it's time to workshop some more!
At this OpenInn workshop you will work in interdisciplinary teams in a design thinking process to develop and elaborate on ideas on how to increase accessibility through digital solutions.
We invite anyone who believes that accessibility is important for a democratic and inclusive society, and those who wish to explore what role digitalization can play in making this happen. You might be a public speaker or event organizer, a programmer or service designer, someone with an interest in social issues or with personal experiences of inaccessible public meeting spaces.
The focus is on Almedalsveckan, but we are sure the solutions from the
workshop can be useful in many other settings as well, so no matter if you are a frequent visitor at Almedalsveckan or never have and never will attend, you are more than welcome to join.
